Schedule a Meeting with Someone Outside Melp
Yes — you can invite anyone to your meeting, even if they don’t have a Melp account. Just follow these simple steps:
Step-by-Step
- Go to Calendar or Dashboard and click the “Create Meeting” button
- Add the Title, Description, Date, Time, Duration, Reminder, and Recurrence (if needed) and upload attachments like agendas or documents if needed
- Add the Non-Melp Invitee. In the “Add Invitees” field, type the email address of the person you want to invite
- Click “Create”. Your meeting is scheduled and the invite will be sent to their email.
What Happens Next for Non-Melp Invitees
- They’ll receive an email invitation with a Join Meeting link
- On clicking the link, they’ll be prompted to enter their name and email address
- A join request is sent to the meeting organizer (you) for approval
If Approved by the Organizer
- The user is allowed into the meeting
- They can participate just like other attendees: Video, Voice and in-call Chat and other in call features.
If Declined
- The user will be denied entry
- They will see a message saying their request was not approved
Tip: Even though non-Melp users can join meetings without creating an account, we recommend signing up for a smoother experience and full feature access.
