Melpapp inc. Or any of its affiliates or associate companies or subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred as "MelpApp Inc.", "Melpapp", "we", "us", or "our"), prescribes this privacy policy (the "privacy policy" / "policy"), last updated on the date mentioned above, describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit or use our website, (the "site"), the MelpApp mobile application or desktop application (the "app(s)"), the MelpApp email plugins, the MelpApp chrome extension and any other website or mobile application or plugins that links to this privacy policy in our capacity as a controller of your personal information.

This privacy policy explains what information of yours will be collected when you access the services, how such personal information will be used, and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of your personal information. We will not use or share your personal information with anyone except as described in this privacy policy. The use of information collected through our sites shall be limited to the purposes under this privacy policy and our terms of service (the "terms") to customers. Capitalised terms not specifically defined herein shall have the same meaning as ascribed to them in the terms.

With your consent: we may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.

You agree that the app allows you to share your screen with other users. The users with whom your screen has been shared would be able to take screenshots of your shared screen ("screenshot") without any notification to you.

You agree that the app allows the host to record the video or audio conferencing ("recording"). Once the recording has started you would be able to see the recording text on your app conference screen.

The recording shall be made available to the host via email and/or a text message.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The company retains your personal data in accordance with the following principles and purposes outlined in this privacy policy:

Service maintenance and usage monitoring: your personal data may be retained to ensure the provision and maintenance of our services, as well as to monitor and analyze usage patterns to enhance the quality of the service.

The information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored in, a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Receive transaction data from payment card networks or service providers for enrolled personal or corporate cards to trigger expense management notifications/actions.
Provide all or a portion of the information collected to our respective third-party service providers, vendors, or contractors to facilitate and administer the personal card program and the service(s) connection with your corporate credit card program.
Analyze transaction data to create performance reports that may be shared with you.

We may use your information for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect or receive the information, or otherwise with your consent.

Aggregate information is also collected for statistical purposes. Melpapp may use software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing the number of uses of different features of the services, what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas.

Melpapp may use the information collected to communicate with you about products, services, promotions, studies, surveys, news, updates, and events. Melpapp may also request your feedback on the services.

Legal Basis

If you are a data subject from the European economic area, our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above will depend on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it. We will normally collect personal information from you only where it is needed to perform a contract with you, where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms, or where we have your consent. Melpapp will not send you any unsolicited marketing or promotional email without your permission. Even after you have given permission you may opt-out of receiving such marketing or promotional emails by following the instructions in those messages. Please note that, we may continue to send you essential messages such as updates and notifications related to the services you have subscribed to or information about your account.

Please note that any opt out is specific to the browser you use. You may need to opt out on every browser that you use.

Connecting Your Email Account via Social Media

You can choose to provide explicit consent to connect your social media accounts with your MelpApp account. Once connected, the file website/ app will securely access and analyse the relevant contents related to the services provided by MelpApp. We encourage you to review your personal information prior to signing in through the applicable service. Melpapp does not under any circumstances store your email messages, email messages headers, message bodies, or attachments. Melpapp only accesses your email account for scanning purposes and displays information immediately as it is returned. Melpapp requests read-only access to your email account and will not attempt to alter or modify your email account or email messages in any way except as otherwise agreed by you through additional consent to write permission in your account with respect to the services from MelpApp you are opting.

You can choose to enable us to access one or more of your email accounts by connecting such account(s) with your MelpApp account. If you connect your email account, the MelpApp site/app will automatically access and analyse the contents of emails, from a small list of whitelisted senders that comprise of third parties providing you services, in your email account(s) on an ongoing basis for the purpose of identifying documents related to the applicable services availed by you, may contain recent account statements, transactions, or linked services. Once linked, the applicable information will then be extracted from your emails into your MelpApp account so that you may access the same through the MelpApp site/app on mobile and desktop.

Melpapp's access to the email account/s is authorized through the email provider's access mechanism. This information will be used to enable the site/app to automatically access the applicable and relevant information to analyse, extract, and store information securely from such accounts for use in the MelpApp site/app.

You will be asked in each case whether you want to MelpApp connect your email account. You are free to de-link your email connection with MelpApp at any time. You may manage your connections to email and de-link the same at any time from the site/app. For example, Google mail's permission settings are located at: myaccount.google.com/permissions. A user de-link the access to their email any time they wish at this url.

Google user data is accessed using the officially supported Google apis. Specifically the following scopes are used: email, profile, openid, gmail.Readonly. These scopes are required for the operation of MelpApp with gmail accounts. Google user data is used as mentioned above. The only Google user data that is stored is the email address and basic profile information for accounts that are explicitly connected to MelpApp, as mentioned above. No Google user data is under any circumstance shared to any third party.

You may choose to enable or log in to our services via various online services, including social network services like Google. Our services also may enable you to access social networking services such as Google, twitter, or instagram (collectively, "social network") directly or indirectly through our services. In all such cases, any personal information that you share with such social networking services shall be governed by privacy policy of the respective social network.

Privacy of Children

We recognize the importance of children's safety and privacy. We do not request, or knowingly collect, any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 16 except for academic purposes. Melpapp is very sensitive to privacy issues regarding children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personal information, he or she should write to us at support@melp.us.

Security

Your personal information is extremely important to us. Your information resides on a secure server that only selected personnel have access to. Promotional and referral codes are random alphanumeric sequences that are encrypted. In addition to our precautions, it is important that you do not share your password with anyone. Although we try our best to protect your information, we cannot eliminate security risks associated with personal information.

The right to delete personal data. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to:

Complete the transaction for which we collected the personal information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you.
Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.

Non-Collection and Immediate Destruction of Phi

Melpapp hereby declares and warrants that it does not gather, accumulate, or retain any form of protected health information (phi) from users engaging with its services. It is explicitly stated that any data encompassing phi, as defined under the health insurance portability and accountability act (hipaa), which is exchanged during the utilization of MelpApp's services, is promptly and irrevocably expunged from MelpApp's servers. The policy of MelpApp ensures that no storage or retention of phi takes place within its systems.

By utilizing MelpApp's services, users acknowledge and accept that MelpApp assumes no responsibility or legal liability for any breach, unauthorized access, or divulgence of protected health information (phi) that might occur during the course of service usage. Users explicitly recognize that they willingly bear all potential risks linked to the transmission of phi through MelpApp's services. In the event of any breach or unauthorized disclosure of phi, users shall not hold MelpApp accountable and shall indemnify MelpApp against any claims, losses, or damages arising from such incidents. Users are strongly advised to exercise prudence, adhere to recommended security practices, and prioritize the safeguarding of phi while using MelpApp's services.

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page.
