Set Your Status

Keeping your status updated helps others know when you’re available, in a meeting, or focused on work.
It’s a quick way to communicate your availability without having to say a word.

How to Set Your Status

  • Click your profile icon in the top-right. From the list, select Status.

A dropdown menu will appear — select the status that best fits your availability:

  • Online – You’re available and active.
  • Busy – You’re focused and prefer not to be disturbed.
  • In a Meeting – You’re currently in a call or meeting.

Click on the status you want to use and your status will instantly update — you’re all set!

That’s it! Your updated status will now be visible to your contacts, helping them communicate with you at the right time.

Manage Your Account

Your Melpapp account is the heart of your experience. From updating your personal information to securing your password, these settings give you full control and let you personalize how you use Melp.

Update Your Profile Picture

Your profile picture helps your team recognize you instantly. Keeping it up-to-date adds a personal touch to your workspace.

Steps to Update Your Profile Picture

  • Go to Account Settings.
  • Click on your current profile picture and select a new image from your device. Melp supports: .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp.
  • Click Upload Image to save your new profile picture.

Pro Tip: Choose a clear, professional image so your team can easily identify you across Melp.

Update Your Display Name

Keep your profile fresh and easy to recognize by updating your display name on Melp. It’s quick, simple, and ensures your team can find you easily.

Steps to Update Your Name

  • Go to Account Settings. The Account tab will open.
  • Locate your current display name and click on it to edit.
  • Type in your new name and click Save Changes.

That’s it! Your updated name will now appear across chats, meetings, and contacts, making it easier for others to recognize and reach you.

Pro Tip: Use your full name or a recognizable nickname to make your profile clear to teammates.

Change Your Password

For enhanced security, we recommend updating your Melp password regularly. Changing your password is simple and can be done directly from the Account Settings tab.

Steps to Change Your Password

  • Go to Account Settings. The Account tab will open.
  • Locate the Change Passwordsection, then enter a new password (at least 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols), then re-enter it in Confirm New Password to ensure accuracy.
  • Click Save and check your registered email for a verification code.
  • Enter the code in Melp when prompted.

Once verified, your password is updated and ready to use.

Pro Tip: Make your password strong and unique to protect your account. The verification email is sent only after you click Save, so keep an eye on your inbox.

Change Your Language

Melp supports multiple global languages to make your experience personalized and comfortable.
Whether you prefer English, Spanish, or another supported language, you can easily switch the app interface to match your preference.

By default, Melp automatically detects and applies your device or browser language, but you can manually change it anytime.

Steps to Change Your Language

  • Go to Account Settings. The Account tab will open.
  • Locate the Language setting and click the dropdown menu and select your preferred language.
  • Click Save Changes to apply the new setting.

That’s it! Melp’s interface will now appear in your selected language—making your experience smoother, familiar, and more personalized.

Verify Your Phone Number

Verifying your phone number is a simple but powerful way to keep your network consistent and accessible—no matter which email you use.

Whether you sign in with a personal or business account, your phone number acts as a permanent link to your network, helping you reconnect with your contacts even if your original account is deactivated or deleted.

Steps to Verify Your Phone Number

  • Go to Account Settings. The Account tab will open.
  • Enter your mobile number in the phone number field.
  • Click Verify, then enter the OTP (One-Time Password) sent via SMS. If you don’t receive it, click Resend Code to request another. Once entered, click Submit to complete verification.

Once verified, your phone number will be securely linked to your account—enhancing security and ensuring a seamless connection to your network, even if you switch emails or face account changes in the future.

Build Your Profile

Your profile is more than just your name—it’s how colleagues and connections recognize you on Melp. By keeping it updated, you showcase your role, organization, and even share your resume.

Update Role and Organization Details

Make sure your professional details reflect who you are today. Updating your role, department, and company keeps your profile accurate and helps teammates quickly understand what you do—making collaboration and recognition easier across chats, meetings, and projects.

Steps to Update Role and Organization Details

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Click on the Profile tab.
  • Locate your current Designation, Department, and Company, then click directly on each field to edit.
  • After updating the details, click Save to confirm your changes.

Upload Your Resume

Showcase your skills and experience by adding your resume. This makes it easier for colleagues to know your background and expertise at a glance.

Steps to Upload Resume

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Click on the Profile tab.
  • In the Profile tab, scroll to the Resume section and click Upload, then select a file from your device.
  • Once the file is attached, click Save to confirm.

Your resume is now stored in Melp and visible to others as part of your profile.

Edit "About Me"

Tell your story in your own words. A short bio helps teammates connect with you beyond your role—whether it’s about your work style, passions, or goals.

Steps to Edit About Me

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Click on the Profile tab.
  • Locate the About Me section, click inside the text field and write a short bio. A live character counter will guide you so you stay within the allowed limit.
  • Click Save Save to update your profile.

This section helps you share more about yourself—your background, interests, or what you do—making it easier for teammates to know you better.

Personalize Your Preferences

Your preferences let you tailor Melp to your work style—whether it’s managing time zones, muting distractions, or controlling how others connect with you.

Set Your Location

Easily share where you’re based so meetings and collaborations reflect your region.

Steps to Set Your Location:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Click on the Preferences tab.
  • In Location, search your city or region and select from the list.
  • Click Save to update.

Set Your Time Zone

Keep your calendar and reminders accurate across meetings and events.

Steps to Set Your Time Zone:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Click on the Preferences tab.
  • In Time Zone, select the correct time zone from the dropdown.
  • Click Save to confirm.

Mute Notifications

Take control of your focus by pausing alerts when you need uninterrupted time.

Steps to Mute Notifications:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Click on the Preferences tab.
  • In Mute Notifications, choose how long to mute (e.g., Off, or set a duration).
  • Click Save to apply changes.

Allow Public Invitations

Decide whether others can send you public meeting invites.

Steps to Manage Public Invitations:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Click on the Preferences tab.
  • Toggle Allow Public Invitations On if you’d like to receive them (you can switch it off anytime).
  • Click Save to confirm.

Silent Notifications on Call

Stay distraction-free while you’re on a call.

Steps to Enable Silent Notifications on Call:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Click on the Preferences tab.
  • Toggle Silent Notifications On Call On, to silence all notifications during calls.
  • Click Save to update your setting.
